Alex is an experienced and trusted advisor to the Human Capital services industry. With over 20 years’ exposure to this area he has been intrinsically involved in the originating, development and exiting of businesses, while also holding elected office in one of London’s largest local authorities.
After graduating in Applied Chemistry, Alex worked in the media and publishing industry before embarking on a career in recruitment. As a founding Board Director of a leading Marketing recruitment firm he helped take the business to market and ultimately to sale via a Private Equity vehicle.
He has subsequently sat on the Board of several Private Equity portfolio businesses and has managed various funds to initiate recruitment related start ups. Additionally, Alex was involved in facilitating the relationship between Hamilton Bradshaw and local government for the Start-up Loans venture. He has significant exposure to trailblazing and radical global Work Tech solutions where he acts as special advisor. Alex sits on the investment committee for Tribepad Ventures and overlooks the Tribepad Venture ecosystem.
Dean is a tech entrepreneuer through and through. Having been CTO of Plusnet Plc from startup through to the IPO in 2004 and the trade sales to BT Group in 2007, he was looking for a new challenge and started Tribepad in 2008. Tribepad is a global leader in the Talent Aquisition industry with clients in over 125 countries and candidates from every country in the world apart from 2. Tribepad processes over 1m job applications per week for clients such as the BBC, Tesco's, The RAF, Selfridges & many many more. 1 in 7 people of working age in the UK have used a Tribepad product within the 12 months. As CEO he is responsible for the strategic direction of the business.
Dan’s a techie through and through, having worked at several global development houses after graduating in Computer Science. After working on various interactive BAFTA award-winning TV platforms, including the Red Button for the BBC, Dan moved to Sheffield and joined Plusnet. There he headed up the development team and was responsible for scaling up the ‘Workplace’ platform to handle more than 500,000 customers.
Running his own development business, Dan created numerous websites and applications including an HR onboarding solution for a public sector client and several ‘gig economy’ mobile apps. He is responsible for operations including software development, client support and the platform overall. He is married with two children and when not in front of a screen, can be found running marathons, playing pool and hobbling round the Tough Mudder course.
